How Do They Calculate That Number?
For a year, we have been at over five % inflation right now. We set it over eight % inflation. And that is based on a c p i metric, the consumer price index which is lutely incorrect. It's a manipulated number. So even if we give them credit and stay thaf the number's right, it's still showing over eight% for 12 months. But that number is deftly incorrect. For example, if you look at something like shelter, shelter still shows anywhere between two to five % your overyer increase over the last 12 months. That's the numbers they've been telling us. But real prices are up 20 %, and rent national averages
