The Moral Cost of Modern Zoos
The first zoos were pretty much just metal bars and Spartan cages. It wasn't until around 1907 that an exotic animal importer changed the game by using rock walls and moths. While there are a few that do have a positive impact, they remain very few and far between. Genuine animal sanctuaries only take in animals that can safely be returned to the wild.
