The Anglo-Saxon Concept of Middle Earth
There's something perfectly English about the concept of Middle Earth. Tolkien wanted it to be this mythic project for England like Finland has the Calabala. I read Lord of the Rings at least once a year through my sort of late elementary adolescent years.
