The Importance of External Oversight in Social Science Research
i think we can somewhat draw a distinction here between research that on its face there's a clear risk to participants like where you're doing experimental medical treatments on people and giving them drugs that haven't been tested on many people before. It's just very clear that we're going to need external oversight of these kinds of experiments in the U.S. There is some move to to change it though i think there's a there's still a decent way to go at least with with this kind of research.
