Is the PPE Scaled Back to Manage Monkeypox in Central Africa?
In West Africa and in Central Africa where they see this in an endemic fashion. This is not usually available and a gown and gloves are pretty much sufficient if all you're doing is examining the patient, making your diagnosis and then probably discharging them home. Even when people do not have access to all the PPE that may be available in more resourced settings, you're not seeing massive nosocomial transmission of monkeypox just because individuals are not wearing full P PE.
