Newt Gingrich and Fox News - Is That a One Factor Model?

An alternate theory i often hear about what's happened to our country is that, well, polarization started ramping up in the late nineties and early two thousands. What fits that time line? Newt gingrich and fox news. That makes sense as a story of polarization and it fits the time line. I disagree with the nature of attaching so much of this to newt gingrich's particular tactical decisions. But my typically view is that somebody would have recognized the market opportunity sooner or later. And also, the thing that happens with a bracco bama is these politicians who could thrive in other points in american politics emerge under their own power.
