Reprogramming factors seem to do they reduce something called the epigenetic age so people might have heard of the epigenetic clock which is one measure of biological aging. The idea would be by intervening with these yamanaka factors earlier in life we can potentially prevent many perhaps even all age related diseases or you know partially prevent some of these things like cardiovascular disease cancers. By reverting our cells to a sort of younger state is the thing that I should say because although it is super cool and we can reverse aging within individual cells there are other aspects of the aging process that we're still going to need to address.
