Are Dog Whistles Really Necessary?

I think that the political right for the most part pretty effectively sets the outer boundary on its own side and says, if you're beyond this, then you're not involved with what the rest of us are doing. The left has a little bit more trouble than the right does in finding the moral language to condemn it and to actually take a stand against it. I mean, when you've got people who are saying things that you on a fundamental level agree with while they throw a Molotov cocktail, it's tough to say we're not on the same team. It can be very difficult, you know, and yeah, it's something that's got to be figured out.
