Is the Average Investor Getting a 20% Discount on the Upside Rate?
The average angel investor takes on too much risk because they're not adequately compensated for the risk of coming in two years early. They only get 20% discount for the upside rate, which is why discounts rates are starting to come back. Of course, you have to think about price, but also your ability to pick the winners and avoid picking companies that will die. And I think one thing that's underrated is a bit if you are deploying angels as aggressively as most people don't.
