The Importance of Standing in the Gap
LZ Granderson: It's a little incautious to call oneself a Christian nowadays, because you don't know if somebody calls up some picture of some political crusader or cult member. LZ: But I also believe that God does call certain individuals to stand in the gap and call them even though they may not be successful. He says it can be used as a trap by anybody who just wants to say you're not acting like a Christian. "I think what has me pausing about it is how easy it is just to drop into these different kinds of categories," he says.
