Lysander and the Spartan Army

The 30 oligarchs, or the 30 tyrants, as thrasibalus and his friends are calling them, gather all their troops together. And they march down to the paraeus in battle formation to crush the rebellion. The spartans recall lysander from his duties in asia, and they make him harmost or fixer of all atticat vast territory around athens. He commands a large infantry force, spartans and mercenaries. They surround the men on the paraeus by land; cut off all their supplies.
