The Story of Anu's Heroin Overdose
Anu phoned the friend who had helped her obtain rehypnol. Screaming frantically, she asked what the best course of action was for someone who had taken a heroin overdose. She reported that Jo was taking one breath every 10 seconds and was told to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Her friend warned her that if she didn't call the paramedics, she could have a murder charge on her hands. At 12.10pm, she placed a call to the emergency services hotline requesting ambulance assistance to treat a potential heroin overdose. It took paramedics 8 minutes to arrive due to Anu's evasive answers. Despite the paramedics' efforts, he could not be resuscitated.
