The Dodo and the Caucus Race

The Eglott and the dodo held a caucus race to get dry. The party were placed on a course, but there was no one in it. They ran for half an hour or so until they were all dry again. But who would give them their prizes? This is where Alice stepped in with her box of comforts. She gave each bird its own thimble as a prize. When everyone had been given their prizes everybody cheered. William's conduct at first was moderate, but insolence of his Normans has overtaken him.
