In On Liberty, he makes some arguments that are clearly meant to appeal to a Christian audience. He probably pretends to be a bit more of a Christian than he is,. Without strictly being a Christian, he does see, you know, much too admiring Christianity. Well, there is a concern about your ability to reach a predominantly Christian audience by coming out as non-Christian.
