Chat GPT or Open AI

Chat GPT or open AI, my understanding is Microsoft paid over a billion dollars for exclusive rights to be able to license this technology. Each prompt you give cost them money to power the compute to enable that response. They're already making money because they charge for the API for these companies to build on it. So there's money revenue being generated. And I would gladly pay obviously for for access to that GPT.
