Bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies, we shouldn't just pick on Bitcoin, but it is the biggest. They have a large carbon footprint. The creation of cryptocurrency didn't use up much electricity. It's the mining of it that takes up a lot of electricity. Global cryptocurrency mining in 2022 is estimated to have consumed more electricity than many entire countries.
