Asperger's is no longer recognized by the DSM-5 as a standalone thing, it's been placed into the autism category. Many people with autism prefer autistic to describe them instead of on the spectrum or with autism. Meltdowns are not something that can be controlled when an autistic child is having a meltdown. Neurodiverse is used the same way one would use ethnically diverse phrase like neurotypical.
