The artist's lamp works challenge the idea of the female body as has been perceived in sculpture, but also a kind of commercialization. She is picking up on that with some of her curious figures. And i think what's so interesting with the lamps is the experimentation with electricity as a device for introducing this uncanny o into these transparent materials and using these colours of consumption. These are oral. You know, at once it's erotic, but it's once terrifying. But it's always within a context of what made it imaginable to do that at that point.
