The Rise and Fall of Thomas Cook Airlines
Thomas Cook was a huge tour operator based out of the United Kingdom. They were sold to Inspirations in 1995 when British Airways exited the inclusive tour market. In 1999, Thomas Cook acquired Inspirations and then merged Caledonian Airways with flying colors to form a company called JMC Air Services, which became Thomas Cook Airlines. And Thomas Cook actually very famously ceased operations in September of 2019. Oh, I don't know if you kept up with the news when that happened. Well, not British tour company news; well, this was bigger. This was huge news worldwide because they kind of collapsed without note without warning.
