Supermarial World vs Super Mario 3

I think the exploration in sponky and other rogue likes, a lot of it is just through the randomization, right? Like one run versus another. And i still feel like super marial world as is is weirdly positioned between mario three and maro 64. On the surface, i think it's like weymore mario three like than i remembered. But actually these radical, like, design philosophy points where it deviates from maryo three is ie, really, really huge and consequential.
