Transgender and Gender Diverse Patients Navigate the Imaging Suite

Dr. Zavaleta will begin by discussing the experience of our transgender and gender diverse patients prior to their arrival to the radiology department. In this section we talk about the electronic health records, ordering and scheduling, preauthorization and patient instructions. At each stage we will share a patient vignette to highlight a common pitfall. And at the very end we will also briefly discuss how to make the radiological department more inclusive for our transgender andgender diverse radiology colleagues, trainees and allied health staff.
