What's the Format of an Auction?

There's very many formats, first of all, of auctions. If you know that i value my item at 50 dollars, you know for sure that i'll never bit more than 50 dollars,. So 50 dollar and one cents guarantees that you will win. And then these are dynamic auctions formets, right? Because the price is moving around. There's also static auction formets where i submit by bit, in sort of seal bid auctions. Or i might submit a bid and then pay the second highest bid instead of my own bid. That's called the second price auction, because i'm paying not the first highest but the secondhighest bid.
