The third telltale sign that one-on-one work might be holding you back is if you have an extremely inconsistent workload. You're in a profession where the demand for services fluctuates, which leads to a ton of stress during your busy times and uncertainty during slower periods. Maybe you tutor high school kids and calculus. And while the demand for tutoring sessions picks up during the school year or college entrance exams, you're slow during the summer. Although maybe you do want to take a little time off, you don't love the fact that no income is coming in.

Scale your impact without maxing out your calendar

Imagine this scenario. You’re a business owner who works one-on-one with clients. You love what you do, you have a lot of knowledge to share, and you’re making money. Most of all, you love the feeling you get from helping your clients achieve their goals.

But the thing is, you’re starting to get the feeling that one-on-one work is holding back your growth potential.
