The Pathophysiology of Pubs in Pregnancy

The rash affects the abdomen and the proximal thigh in about 97 to 98% of women. Lesions initially form within the stretch marks, within striae, but they show peri umbilical sparing. Pops usually resolves within several days following delivery and it leaves no scarring behind. In 15-20% of women, however, symptoms can persist for 2-4 weeks postpartum. And we're going to cover what some would consider to be the fifth pregnancy-specific skin condition called the Triple P.
