From 2001 to 2007, tech stocks did nothing. And then in the decade of 2000, after 2010, they took off. So why? Well, they are very innovative companies. But probably more importantly, was the Fed cut rates to zero. Because the discounting mechanism, you were essentially paid to take risk. That lasted most of the 90s until around the year 2000. Then people moved on because they had to move on.
