Google, Wayfair and Capital One all announced their layoffs this week. CNN's John Sutter says there is a kind of like follow the leader type thing going on. He thinks companies may be looking up to Goldman Sachs or other large industry players who are also laying people off. The layoff count when you look at it in terms of percentages, 5%, 6%.
