The objective is to deliver value, not to implement solutions. If I can do that in an Excel spreadsheet next month, next week, then I'm ready for Black Friday. So you shouldn't be embarrassed to say you're using Excel because you actually accomplished the objective. It's less about infrastructure first, it's more about understanding what you're trying to do, repeating it and then applying automation to industrialize.
