CNN's John Sutter sat down with the team at OpenAI to learn more about how AI works. The company uses massive computers and transcribed books into a computer. Over time, the computer learns patterns based on what words show up next to each other. When you ask it a question, it spitting out a sequence based on the frequency that those tokens back at you.
