The History of Philosophy
Adrian Moore: There's not going to be a fixed interpretation for all time. Most philosophers are very narrowly specialized, is this progress or in some sense a cul-de-sac? He says the more that you engage with the history of the discipline the broader your perspective has to be seeing how we got here from the various different places that we have been previously. It is crucial that the teaching of philosophy should include the teaching of the history of philosophy.
