Quantum electrodynamics and quantum chromodynamics, I believe, are species of quantum field theory. Quantum computation just brings in computations that what can a computer do? Given these things are made out of matter, they're made out of physical stuff. What limits does that impose? What does it allow, rather? That's the theory of quantum computation.
