The Rise of Home Equity Lines of Credit
In the U.S., looking at the rise of the home equity lines of credit, you get a big credit driven housing bubble. That was that 20 year period, 1990 to 2010. People were taking out helox and then buying a boat or they were taking out a heloch and going to Europe. And people drove the consumer spending straight up through that use of home equity credit. But I tell you, living through the, the 1990 to 2010 period, it was a little bit of a pain to pay attention to issues around credit.
