Amniac Fluid Embolism in Pregnancy
A suspected amniac fluid embolus would be given prophylactically. No one really knows what the correct dose is for antarachialid embolus because it's such a rare event and very few people have used intra lipid so I think we need more data before we have conclusive evidence as to what is best. A pulmonary thromboelism approximately 0.01 to 0.05 percent of pregnancies but accounts for 15% of maternal mortality.
