Vanguard's 10 Year Outlook for the 60 40 Portfolio
Vanguard say a 60 40 portfolio is likely to return 6.6% over the next 10 years on an annual basis. That's nominal, which is only slightly less than 100% equity - returning 6.9%. But it sounds like they're saying 60 40 is far from dead. It's maybe just about to have its second wind. So for new people, entering such a thing makes a lot of sense.
