The book challenges the debate between syber optimists and siber pessimists. The idea became very popular that internet and social media platforms in particular would bring down dictatorships all around the world. But together with the kind of disappointing outcomes of the arab spring, a kind of siber pessimism became increasingly popular. This is what my book tries to investigate. And i position myself in between those who think technology can be used for both noble and evil purposes.
