Mary's husband did not have an alibi for monday july twentieth, the day investigators were now sure mary must have, injested, the colcocene that would later kill her. When bill was interviewed by investigators, he conceded that him being home alone all day on july twentieth with no alibi make him look suspicious - but it was the truth. He then told police that if she really had been poisoned on the twentieth, then there were dozens of people who could have administered the tocin. And as for why he had not picked up all the calls placed to the landline phone at their home that night, bill said there was no landline extension in his room
