Survey of more than 9100 U.S. physicians found that roughly 53% of respondents said they experienced burnout. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy issued an advisory last May warning the health care industry that burnout among health care workers not only impacts individuals but also threatens the nation's public health infrastructure.
