How Did the Option Skew Look in the Options Market?
The open interest in bit coin options was sky rocketing from the september lows. Open interest went from just under six billion dollars on the 20 eighth of september to over 12billion dollars on the fifteenth of october. This shows that these investors were buying a load of options in anticipation of something big m now, of course,. These could be both call and put option, so we want to try and get a sense of how the market was skewed by looking at the option skew.
