The Pros and Cons of Writing Female Characters

I think it's just because a lot of men don't know how to write female characters. Only Damon's girlfriend was only supposed to be in three scenes and he had this other character that they wrote called Atkinson who was Mike's best friend from law school. The studio made them combine Joe and Atkinson and basically boost up the Joe character to give her more scenes. And at that point it's like well she's not essential to the movie at all she's just kind of been worms away. Not a great performance by Greta Moley there but she rallied in the 2000s. Fortunately but she is just flat out bad in this movie and not likable.
