What Saves the Government and the Treasury Market?
I don't think you're ever going to have retail being the buyer of last resort for government debt because everyone knows the debt. The private sector can't do it for the public sector. The public sector has to do it for itself because nobody trusts the public sector due to inflation and incompetence among various political parties in every country. It's amazing to me how everybody was just constantly talking about this energy, natural gas crisis, and showing all these parabolic charts. And I keep going back to that point. Opportunity always exists when the crowd thinks it knows an unknowable future. That explains partially why the bond market stabilization is here.
