How to Use a Linux Box to Scan Your Network
I use digital fire as my cloud host. Originally I tried to do all the scanning in-house on my self-hosted server. Every time I would run a scan, it would saturate my whole network. It just wasn't worth it. If you get an IP bin, it's giant pain in the ass. So 15 bucks a month, I keep a digital fire VM in the cloud that I do all the like really heavy scanning with. And then if I'm doing something like less intensive, or I just want to do it on the Linux box, or I want access to different tools that are Linux only he says.
