Can I Listen to Music While Studying?
Can music help you study or is it just going to distract you? Lots of study advisors will tell you to study in silence. I actually disagree with that advice and take a rather nuanced approach. As a student, I listen to music pretty well all the time while writing or reading. But yeah, I'm a big fan of working well, music's playing. Spotify tells me I racked up 757 hours of listening time via Spotify alone last year. That's equivalent to 31 continuous days. So a whole month of 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, music.
