The Moral Consequences of Economic Stagnation and Regression

In Turchen's theory, popular emissoration plays second fiddle to what he calls elite over production in generating political instability. One of the consequences of inequality is an increase in the economic elite. There are now more millionaires and billionaires in the United States than ever before. When elite overproduction happens, intra-elite competition intensifies. That in Turchen's view is one of the main causes of political instability.
