Is Holistic Graining a Climate Solution?
Any move to a more plant-based diet is a good one for not only your health, but also for our environment. Animal agriculture takes up 83% of all land dedicated to agriculture and produces 80% of food-related greenhouse gas emissions. Although holistic grazing is better for the soil, it is still responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than the carbon that is stored in the soil. It's still a contributor to climate change, not a solution,. The other thing enthusiasts of this form of animal agriculture often fail to address, is meat supply. If the entire world's lifestyle industry switched to this, we would not have enough land globally to produce the same amount of meat.
