Elvis was that gateway for a white audience to go and make it okay for them to listen to rock and roll rhythm and blues, blues music. They opened the door and so yeah, there's two things can be true at once, right? Yeah, Elvis just stole an appropriated black culture, black music. But he also created an environment where black people, white people, Mexican, America to come together and enjoy this art. It helped kick down the doors of segregation. Music and art and culture, it all goes together. If it the whites in a white dominated society like America is still is,. Things are changing but it's founded in a very white society.
