In September 1992, Hadley is hospitalized for the first time in private psychiatric unit which we're calling Hospital One. But it didn't cure her anorexia and she was soon stuck in a cycle of going in and out of hospital. Just over a year later, in December 1993, she was checked into an eating disorder unit which Hadley calls Hospital Three. The women in there were really very severely anorexic and had been for many years. They'd be flicking their food onto another patient's plate to watch the other patient then have to eat it.
