Do X-Rays Help With Thumb CMC Arthritis?
Dr. Chucky: I think an X-ray does actually help you because it gives you an idea of which joints are involved. The most common soft tissue that's injured inside the wrist is something called a triangular fibrocarthage complex or TFCC. ulnar risk pain is basically if you imagine the pinky side at your distal ulnar. And so in managing those patients, typically I'll get a MRI to help diagnose that and then selective injections work well.
