The Impact of the Gospel on the Black Community

For most blacks in the US, the origin story of our history starts with slavery. Sadly, this is why we need to expand on how we teach Black history. West Africa had Christianity well before the Atlantic slave trade had taken place. Ethiopia going back to that is one of the oldest Christian nations on our planet. But if you're told Christianity from a story that starts with slavery and continues on through Jim Crow, there's not much that Christianity has to offer for the problems I'm faced.
