But as compliance officers responsibilities are pulled into an increasingly diverse range of subject areas, the demand for expertise increases. However, at times the availability of this expertise is scarce and expensive,. The current economic climate is going to place greater issues for them in recruiting and paying for the necessary skills that their responsibilities require.
