How to Survive a Road Closure

I've had other harrowing experiences relying on SatNav. You can have a road closure and then it's going to take you off-piste. If I have any doubt about the road, I spot-check street views. So, if one system fails or it doesn't look like on the ground, what it looks like on the computer, I've got different options. We're sort of trying to drive and stay on the road in Ireland. It was so bumpy on my last journey here that my bike was hitting the ground. The roads are just chronic. They go from being tarmac to virtually unmade with no warning whatsoever.
