In Wovensir, Vergier imagines relations between people who are actually there and the kind of ghosts he sees and interacts with. I think of it as a kind of quiet work of ichphrastic literature, you know, as a work of art that describes another work of art. They both thought of this ability to communicate complex experience without reducing it to information in different media is the kind of thing that united them.
